New Years Eve

We had planned a block party for New Years Eve, but when the weather looked like it was going to turn sour, my neighbor decided to see if we could find a party room at Grimaldi's to hang out in- it was PERFECT!  We might be doing this again next year!

The kids table (with about half there)
 Pizza Face Brayden
And his friend Brady from down the street
Playing in his milk- moments before he spilled it everywhere!
Trying to get a group shot of the kids- Liz got a better one outside afterwards!
 At home

And after B went to bed...Danny and I enjoyed a peaceful New Years Eve!

Texas Bowl...Sic Em Bears

Daddy Harper treated us all to tickets to the Texas Bowl to see Baylor play!  Too bad it wasn't such a good game, but we sure had fun trecking through the POURING rain, getting soaked completly, and rooting on our Baylor Bears!  Even Danny was a Baylor Bear for a few hours :)

Cooking in the Kitchen with Aunt La

Aunt La got Brayden this amazing cooking set for Christmas with 2 kids cookbooks...he LOVES it!  He already loved to help cook, but now he has real tools his size that he can use!

Brayden took the camera from me to snap this picture!

The Birth of Jesus- The Bible
Luke 2

1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

His New Bike

Brayden is in LOVE with his new bike...he literally just took off on it the first time he rode it.  No holding back!

 Daddy, Brayden and Grandpa

 Such determination

Christmas 2010- Part 7 - With Great-Nana Boyer

Brayden is blessed to have 3 living great-grandparents!  What a joy they are in his lives, and ours.  We went to Great-Nana's house on Tuesday after Christmas- she is Danny's grandmother on his Dad's side. She is in her 80's and when we got to the door, she was dancing around her little house to Christmas music!  Oh, I pray I have that much energy and joy at her age.

Daddy's Boxers

Daddy got new PacMan boxers in his stocking and this day, Brayden decided they were his to wear- over his clothes!

Lovin' his new grill from Nana and Grandaddy- yesterday he told me that he needed a cover for it because Daddy's grill had a cover :)

Christmas 2010- Part 6 - Harper Family in Kingwood

We are blessed to have most of Shannon's extended family within an hour or so of Houston.  So, we got to spend Christmas with them as well!  Sunday after church we headed back out to Kingwood for Christmas again.
Making Gammy's famous Oyster Dressing with her...He loved to smush the crackers

And then decided he was hungry for some :)

 With Gran
Watching Uncle Blake fly Paw Paw's new helicopter- the hit of Christmas!
 The Boyer Family
Great Gammy and Great Grandaddy- oh, we love them so!
 Laughing with Uncle Gerald
New alphabet giraffe puzzle from Uncle Gerald, Aunt Linda, P and E
 Being silly

Wearing Paw Paw's new stethoscope animals
The next morning, we were packing up and getting ready to go shopping and Brayden climbed in Great- Grandaddy's lap to draw on the new magnadoodle.  Such special moments in time- Grandaddy is an artist who used to paint many beautiful pictures...but he is unable to paint anymore.  He had a smile on his face drawing with his great-grandson.  So special!

Such Joy!
 Such Love!
Such a blessing!
