Fun in the Hotel

Brayden had fun playing in the hotel. He slept very well in his pack and play in the bathroom!

Baylor Homecoming 2009

Sic Em' Bears!
We had a great time at Brayden's 1st Baylor Homecoming (it was Danny's 1st as well). We were blessed to spend the entire weekend with Jen and Rick. A few pictures (okay maybe a lot) from the weekend...

Friday Night: Bonfire and Pep Rally

Saturday Morning: ZTA Homecoming Breakfast
(The Boyer Family slept through our alarm clocks, so we were very late and were sad that we didn't get to see everyone- but were SO blessed to catch up and see some ZTA friends and meet their precious families)
Homecoming Parade

ZTA's winning float! Judges Choice

We were so blessed to catch up with the Tonkins
(Julie was in ZTA with Jen and I and she was one of my roommates at Baylor)

Rick and Jen
Shannon, Danny and Brayden
Julie and Derek, Bella, Bryce and Brandt

Bella and Brayden immediately hit it off- Bella even gave Brayden a semi-kiss!

BU Football Game
We didn't win, but we had fun. I think I watched about 2 minutes of the game- I was watching and chasing Brayden around and over the bleachers. Thank goodness for many hands!

What a cute couple!

Playing in front of Pat Neff

Dinner with the Tonkins
(this was the only picture I got of the kids- they were all up way past their bedtime and the Mommy's and Daddy's just wanted to talk :))

Brayden playing on the car game- I don't know how little boys learn car noises so quickly, but as soon as he sat down, he grabbed the steering wheel and stick shift and starting making car noises!

Etsy

I have never really found much at Etsy, but many of my friends rave about their finds...so I thought I would elicit your help!

Leave me a comment and tell me the name of some of your favorite Etsy stores so I can start checking them out.

Thanks!

Afternoon on a new playground

I have been searching for a playground nearby that has some shade, is good for a 14 month old walker, and not made of wood (we don't like splinters around here)...I finally found one! It is a playground for kids without limits (i.e. handicap accessible), but it is perfect for little ones.

"The Vale-Asche Foundation Playground is the first Playgrounds Without Limits in Houston. It provides a space for children with disabilities to play. http://www.houstontx.gov/parks/playgroundlimits.html The playground is located on East Memorial Loop Drive and Arnot street. Convenient parking is located at the Mayor Jim McConn Memorial Ballfields. The playground is located across from the golf course and clubhouse. "
Big boy can get down a slide by himself. He sits down, turns around, and goes down on his tummy. If only he would do this for all stairs.

Halloween Preview...The Scarecrow

A little preview of Brayden's Halloween's costume....He is celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Wizard of Oz.
